general biography
William Peter Moseley was born on the 27th of April, 1987 in Sheepscombe, a relatively small town in the civil parish of Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, UK. His parents, Julie and Peter (a cinematographer), also had two other children after William named Daisy (b. 1989) and Benjamin (b. 1992), making Will the oldest of the three.
William knew he wanted to act at age 10, and thus began his career after finishing school at Sheepscombe Primary School in 1998. His first gig was given to him by Pippa Hall, a widly known casting director, when she cast him as an extra in the 1998 television film Cider with Rosie. Four years later, school had been the primary focus, but William landed a small role as Forrester in the TV film Goodbye, Mr. Chips. Pippa Hall, however, had more in store for young William, and she called him to audition for the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as Peter Pevensie. After 18 months of auditions and waiting, William was cast as Peter Pevensie.
After two Narnia films (including 2008's Prince Caspian), who knows what the future holds for William. Hopefully he'll stick around in the acting business and give us something to look forward to in his blossoming career.
